After 85 long days, Ainsley is finally coming home!

We are day to day now with Ainsley. She is only feeding by bottle now but she isn’t always finishing the bottle. If all goes well we may get to bring her home this week. We are PRAYING!
She weighs 6 lbs 4 oz right now and looks like a newborn.

Ainsley has moved out of the NICU into the Continuous Care Nursery. Another milestone has been reached. We are one step closer to bringing her home!

Ainsley weighs 5lbs 5oz and is now doing bottle feeds 2 out of 3 feedings. This is a big improvement. She just completed her second full bottle feed this morning.
Our doctor says she is doing good and we should be bringing her home in a few weeks – he won’t put a timetable on it though.

We received some good news today! Our Doctor said he is working to send Ainsley home. We don’t know when that will be but they are starting the process. We’ve waited a Long time to hear those words. Last night she drank an entire bottle at her feeding – first time for that. They are weaning her off the oxygen as well. She looks real good and her weight is now 5lbs 3.8oz.
Today they are doing another ultrasound on her brain. Please pray that the cavity they saw before has disappeared.

50 days. That’s how long Ainsley has been in the NICU. We can’t wait for the day we get to bring her home. She weighed 5 lbs 2.8 oz today. Awesome!
